People smugglers making a fortune from the less fortunate

Asylum seekers sometimes have no other choice but to use 'people smugglers' to get them to another country. They smuggle the people in their fishing boats under extreme conditions. One trip can make a smuggler $100 000. What are your views on these smugglers? If it were you, what extremes would you go to in order to leave your country?

I find this too sad and it makes me angry. I have a much nearer example. When Typhoon Ondoy hit our country and a lot of town went underwater. Instead of helping freely the people who got flooded, some "smugglers" actually charge a high price just to get these people to higher grounds or dry areas. It makes me angry that they actually have the guts to turn the situation into something they can get money from.

Hi. That is terrible. Playing with the lives of people. If caught, I think they should face long prison sentences. These smugglers are making more money than average, hard-working, honest people. Criminal minds will always prey on the weak and desperate unfortunately.
