Paedophile living in your neighbourhood

How would you feel if a convicted paedophile moved into your neighbourhood after serving his prison sentence? Would you be concerned for the safety of your children or do you think he has the right to live where he wants?

I would be scared both for my kids and the neighbourhood kids. Pedophilia is one of the worst crimes I feel, it causes irreparable damage to young minds and shapes their future in a negative way. Child abuse is something I just cant take and I feel no mercy for such people. Whenever I read such news and my mind thinks of similar situations with my own 10yr old son, I shudder to think the trauma of such children. Pedophiles and rapists should be behind bar for their lives…they scourge the very soul of the person and leave them mentally victimized for life. And of course, if you didn’t know, there’s nothing to point out the person’s past to you, which is all the more dangerous. I would not feel comfortable with a pedophile as my next door neighbour

I can't agree with you more. A known paedophile was placed in a safety house in our community a few months back and the community went on rampage. We were all outraged. He is still in the newspapers because every where he moves the community goes causes an uprising - with good reason. I don't believe they can be rehabilitated.

i would be very concerned,i don't think paedophiles should live in with the public, because even though the system can say they have been rehabilitated,i don't think they can be,and they will always have the urge to reoffend
