What does the star system in myLot mean?

I read in another discussion that myLot has a star system? what does that mean and how does it help your earnings?
I know there are some with red or yellow stars then a number inside those stars. I want to get a star too :).
I can't seem to find the information on the FAQ hope someone can help me out

You will receive a star when you see 100 by your username.
It is a direct result of how others rate your posts with +/-/! and it affects your earnings too.

is that so? well then i should consider myself lucky. i am already two years here and wasn't aware that star ratings affect earnings. thanks for informing us.

wow thanks I'm definitely giving you a + rating for this!
I'm guilty because I've received a few good responses and was even minding to give ratings on them my bad I'll start giving out ratings for everyone
I think this is a good discussion (though could've been in the FAQ too). I'm not so much of a good reader in FAQs

If you refresh the page you should see that the rating box is still available. I thank you for your good intentions, and for the BR, but until you reach 100 you cannot rate. This was implemented a few months ago by myLot to avoid abuse of the rating system both by bew and return users.
The FAQs make interesting reading and might help you a lot

The stars repersent you ratings that you recieve from ohter users, on your posts. Some will rate posite and others will rate negative. I don't ive negatives, as we are all trying to get good ratings here. Also, it all depends on the quality of your posts, as that is what our earnings are hased on. If you post a lot but they aren't of a good quality, then you don't get much if anything at all. So, it is imperative, that if you want to earn, you need to post quality, as the longer the post the better. Also, the higher your star rating, the more earnings you get. I started out very low, and now I am up to 10, so it is possible to get up there. I just do the best I can when I am here, and I hope for the best. Noe everyone will agree with tm, but that is okay, as we all have a right to our opinons, right or wrong. Good luck to you and happy mylotting.
