Yes it is on again on the lifetime channel. Of course right before Halloween, and of course I'm watching it. I just love this movie. Have you seen it before. What do you think of the movie? I think it is a very magical movie and funny and lighthearted, not to mention it can teach us all something in little ways.

Hi irish,
I like that film...i think it is one of the few films that is very nice to see during Halloween. Because it is very common to see hard core horror films on tv during this season. Whats nice about Practical Magic is that it has a touch of Halloween but it is very light and it is fun to watch. Both Sandra and Nicole are great actress and they make the film worth watching. (Have you noticed, they still both look young?!) Hmmp!
as if it was like a year ago when they make that movie.. but i found out that it has been 11 years ago when they do that film..grrr
..hahaha.
Happy Lotting!

Yes it is a little scary but it is also magical and heart warming, but it is in a way for a movie how can I say a little realistic. And true it is not hardcore Jason or chainsaw massacare type thing, can't stand those movies. I think it ruins Halloween to see these movies, makes it to evil.

I didn't know it was coming on tonight but I won't be watching it. I have an entirely different line up for Wednesday nights and nothing really fits into that schedule if it happens after 9 or continues after 9. I watch too many shows and get too tired to get into too much during the middle of the week.

LOL---this has got to be my all time favorite movies...it has a real stellar cast to boot and just a great story though doesn't quite follow the book which I read. I don't have cable so wouldn't be able to watch it, but I do have the DVD, so who knows? Might watch it real soon. Believe it or not when I first saw it, it was what kind of inspire me to follow the pagan/wiccan path...there are some glitches to the movie though. If the Owens women are following the wicca path, then the love spell they do (the aunts) for that woman is off base since it involves killing the dove, and to banish Angel's spirit instead of orange candles they should use black...LOL
Oh and to go on further about the movie vs. book. The woman desperate for that man to love her? The aunt then says "Be careful what you wish for"---in the book it then turns out that the woman goes out of her mind as the man becomes an obsessive, possessive nutcase over her.

The first time I saw this movie was 6 years ago on a VHS tape. And just the other week when I was at the library and saw this book, but I didn't get it. I will get it the next time if they have it. I would love to read the book, because I like to ponder over things and such.
