Find Out Who Your Friends Are.  

Well, your story reminds me of a friends of mine.. Now I say friend because she still is - after 20 years. However, when you mentioned liar.. I immediately thought of her.. because We became fast friends when she started working where I was back in the day (1987). I knew she looked familiar but I didn't know her. We went to the same high school, but did not run in the same circles she is a year younger than I am (almost to the day) -our birthdays are 2 days apart.. Maybe that is why we became so close.
Anyway soon after she started working there we were like together every day for months. She was a lot of fun.. it only took me 6 months to realize that she was a liar. not maliciously, she just does it.. maybe we should say story teller, or creative about events (by stating them the way she wished they happened). lol
I figured it out when we sent to see someone and she talked to them for maybe five minutes or more. Now I was about 50 feet away so I couldn't hear the conversation but I could see tat he wasn't doing much talking at all.
So we leave, get in the car and she starts telling me a story as we drive.
it goes back and forth I said, he said, I said..blah blah blah,, for over a half hour she is telling me this conversation.. finally I ask, "when did he say this?" she says just now when we stopped by.. UM- you have been telling me a halfo hour of conversation that supposedly took place in 5 minutes and I SAW him not even say more than 2 words to you.... (I never confronted her.)
Unfortunately I have never believed anything she has to say about a subject unless I was their to witness it.. But all in all under all that she is mostly a generous helpful person, Yes she often does it because she has some gain in the outcome.. But not always. So yes even though most of my other friends don't like her much or don't trust her stories much either- we still put up with her.. If she was truly mean and deceitful I would have kicked her to the curb a long time ago though. And she really can be a lot of fun to hang out with.. :-) You have to take the good with the bad sometimes!

I'm gonna tell you a story about a man named... Lol, okay so I'm not but that and a bad song popped into my head, so here we go.

In any case, you know all about my friends or ex friends and how I feel / felt about them. It was hard to let them go, but they really weren't nice people afterall, and I wasn't about to go changing to try and please 'em... because I had already changed so much because of them... I wanted to be me, and now I am me... well kind of.

I still dream about them, and yes I still wonder about them but to be honest it's more to see if they got married... I guess because it'd make me feel better to know if they had or hadn't, though it shouldn't matter, I hate that it does.

I guess I can't let them go, though I want to.

i have found out who my real friends are, my sons and my family are my real friends, i also have 2 other best friends in my world, but some people make out to be friends but aren't really, it doesn't bother me, i just pity them that they have to come to me for something then i won't see them again, i could never live like that, just rely on people then vanish like that, these are the ones who are not friends, they are just hangers on with very little to do in their lives, so i know who my genuone friends are, also the ones in here, i know who they are and they know who they are, some make out to be friends, but aren't really,

I meet a lot of people like that. Me and my friends call them "friendly user". At first glance, you can't detect people like since they are so good with pretending. But, as you get to know them better, that's when their foul personality start to stench. I always try to avoid people like these since it would always end you being hurt or feeling used in the process if you continue interacting with these kind of people. Sometimes I wonder why they act the way they do, but since I have many problems of my own, I just forget about thinking about them and get on with my busy life.
