Would you rather go for a pre - paid service for your cell phone rather than a monthly charge fee service? I would rather choose the pre - paid service type. Simply for the reason, I won't get rip off by the mobile phone service providers. Just think about it, pre - paid service already set what you can do and what you can't do within the plan you registered with. In opposite, on monthly charged fee, you might exceed your minutes limit without notice; or you accidentally hit those button and download something that charge from their network. Many hidden fees associated with them, don't you think?

I prefer prepaid service. Monthly service is way over the top. It's full of unbeneficial charges. We're usually paying for nothing in a monthly planned service. Prepaid is a lot better because we're in control in our phone usage be it text messaging or phone calls.

If you're looking for cheap, I think that's deff d way to go. I mean I love that i have att n can have better phones w/more features. But for now my parents r paying for it. When i get out on my own n tats no longer happening I will pbbly go to pre-paid. becuz face it, it's A LOT of money for monthly service. LOts. I dont exceed my minutes n i have rollover so tats good if I do. but I think the problem is they just charge way too much for monthly billing. and if ur like me who never really calls anyone then prepaid is best. plus i have to pay extra for texting. ive seen a lot of prepaid cards with texting included. so tats a lot better.

I just rather have the pre-paid plan on my cell phone service because I don't make that many calls per day with my cell. You're right about the hidden fees that cell phone providers try to hide on the bills. So I guess it depends on the person if they make a lot of calls then they would be ok with the monthly fee and ones that don't make a lot of calls should use pre-paid service.

You are right.. prepaid would be the best choice. I'm using prepaid coz it make me control the money spent on phone calls. Because of it I don't make any unnecessary calls. But the only drawback is that sometimes when you want to make a important call you might not have the enough balance. To solve it I always carries a backup recharge code number saved in my phone so that I can recharge it anytime.

Yes, I too prefer the pre-paid service precisely for these reasons. By opting for pre-paid service, you really know your limitations and can stick by them. In post-paid connections, you really don’t know how much you are spending before the bill arrives LOL And now there are so many benefits being offered in pre-paid connections too that there’s no reason why one should not opt for it.

I would rather go with the monthly charged fee service. When you get a land line, even though you may not use it, they will still charge you a fee and if you keep to those free minutes, it will cost you about that same and remember that also inclues the phone you bought. But if you get a pre-paid service unless you are using the phone you had before for the contract, every time you make a phone call or receive on, you will be charged. And it will be hard to budget.
Even if you only made $10 of calls on month, and said "well next month I will make $10 worth of calls," and you put it in your budget, you may have to make $25 the next month, and another month, $100 worth of calls. With my monthly charged fee service or contract, I know that I get free for weekends and evenings and the rest of the time, I know enough to use it for emergencies.
And as soon as you feel you are downloading something, all you need to do is to turn the phone off.

Prepaid service is the type of service which i use to send messages, call, text or anything pertaining to this websites. And i do not like to worry about the cellphone bills. And whenever I get my cellphone with no load, I would just buy at a neighbor store. Then presto i could have load anytime, anywhere their is cellphone reloading station, one could practice freely with no her freedom of expression without being call the universe of his own world.

I like pre-paid services better than post paid because it gives a lot of flexibility to me.I would be able to change the service when ever I want. i wouldn't be billed more than I could expect. And as you mentioned sometimes post paid connections make us pay for accidental activations to different services.

i'm using a prepaid cell phone service right now because I am not a text or calll fanatic, so I can save and just everytime I need it. but for me, if you use your cell phone a lot, its better to subscribe for a monthly plan.

Hi clorissa123. My first mobile phone was prepaid. I only switched to a contract plan because of text messaging. My kids' idea! I've had more problems with contract plan than I ever had with prepaid. I'm ready to go back to prepaid service.

I always prefer pre-paid service for my cell phones rather than monthly charge fee service or post-paid services. Because the limit is set to a certain amount and it can not cross at any point of time. If I need more I can pay more. But I also like the unlimited plans in post-paid services. For example, there are unlimited tariff plans for family and friends circle. SO if I have friends and family members who have the same provider, we can really use that at very cheap cost. So there are some good features in post-paid services also.

I am on a monthly plan with a set amount of minutes. I have enough minutes that I will never go over them as I don't get all that many calls from other networks. I have never used a pre paid phone, as I doubt it would really serve my purpose. The only phone I have is a cell phone, so I need to use mine everyday, as I get calls everyday. I also do text messaging which is part of my plan. I wouldn't have a plan that didn't have unlimited text messaging, as it can cost dear to go over the limit. My daugher has already done that, and she had to change her paln so she can have unlimited as well, as her and I text a lot. I think the bad thing about pre paid is you have to keep getting more minutes and to me that is a hassle. I prefer the kind I have as I ma used to it, as I have been using this kind of phone for 6 years, so I on't know anything else. Good luck to you and happy myloting.

for me the pre-paid service is cheaper for me. I do not use a cell phone only for emergency. I put 10 dollars on my phone every month and still have left over. My phone company also gives me reward. when I reach a certain amount I can use that to put minutes on my phone. Paying monthly you would have to be on a long contract which cost you more than the phone to cancel. Happy lotting.

It's pre paid for me. It's like getting something with no strings attached. Post paid would normally require you to present documentation which is a bit of a hassle and you'll be paying for more than what that you should and of course there's the monthly billing that you have to contend with. Unlike prepaid where after purchase you basically get a good night sleep. Cheers!

It depends on the usage. For certain services prepaid is better but for certain postpaid is better. Earlier I was using a prepaid connection as my usage were very low. But now I have to travel a lot because of my work. And every time I can't go to the shop to get my number recharge. Yes when I started using my postpaid connection the credit limit was very low but now it has increased. And even in postpaid ISD call charges (in certain bill plan) are less than that of prepaid. So there are some benefits that I am getting in post paid which make postpaid my choice.

uh yea i would prefer to hav a pre-paid service .... one f the main reason is that it is a bit inexpensive than post-paid n fits my pocket . n further it limits you within an enclosure above which u cant exceed (i mean the pre-paid balance) n limitless value added services they provide.. n the other thing to b worried in post paid service is the hidden charges .. whoa . those r real head aches for a user . considering these factors i thing a pre-paid service would b an ideal option than post -paid !
