With a basic website, it's a definite "No Way".

I've just created a blog with about 10 articles in it and applied to adsense.
After waiting 3 weeks, they sent me an e-mail saying my blog is not qualified for an adsense account, to be more specific, we do not think your blog's content should contribute to our community:)
Well the mail was in Turkish, so this may not be the exact words they use standart rejecting letters in English but you got what I mean.
Earning from a website is not a piece of cake job. You need to create unique articles and they must attract visitors first. Then make plans for making money from it. I saw several freelancer sites which are full of article jobs. Probably etiher most of them are hungary reading those articles, or they need those for their websites/blos to increase their content rapidly.

Create a website that is informative. Choose the subject on which you have knowledge and interest. Survey the market trends and know your target audience. Designed your site accordingly. Make it look like a professional one. You do not necessarily fill up it with lots of graphics etc. It should look like a proper one. Contact ad programs. Contact different affiliate sites. There are many sites who are ready for affiliate programs. Contact them. They will survey your site and if they put their ads on your site you can earn some good money. Remember, your site should be a good looking one and informative one.
