Do you love or hate tattoos? |
|
A friend of mines son has decided to get a full arm tattoo and she is devasted, I think to myself what would I think if my son got a tattoo and I don't think I would mind as long as he was sure its what he wants.
I have one myself though it is very small and on the bottom of my back so no one but me and my hubby can see it, unless I chose to wear something revealing, like a low backed top.
If my daughter chooses to have one when she is older I don't think I would mind too much unless she planned on getting something massive

Skyeblue25 (189) | 1 month ago | I think if your not legally old enough you should wait until you are, but by then you should know if you are serious about getting one. Then I believe it is down to the individual person

Skyeblue25 (189) | 1 month ago | would you be shocked if your child wanted one? Would you tell them you were dead against it if you were or would you tell them the choice is theirs but it will be with them for life?

dawnald (9574) | 1 month ago | I would tell them that when they turn 18, they can do whatever they want as far as piercings and tattoos, but just to remember that if they go too crazy it might make it hard to get a job.

Skyeblue25 (189) | 1 month ago | That is a very good point. As a lot of places will not employ you if you have a visible tattoo

4. NoirAngelique (235) | 1 month ago | I love them, but not covering the body or the full arm type. One of my son in laws has several and they are really nice. My younger daughter has one and it's beautiful. If my other daughter or other son in law wanted them, I'd say go for it. Whatever makes you happy, even if it's full arm. Just because I don't care for the massive ones doesn't mean they should abide by my preferences. I personally have 5, all of which can be covered by clothing. I have one on my back that needs to be covered up but I don't have the money for that right now. Mine are one over each ankle, one over my heart, one on my hip and one on my back by my shoulder. Two of them never see sunlight.
Once someone becomes an adult, those choices are theirs to make. Personally, I think that unless they are doing something that endangers their life, being devastated over their personal choices is a waste of emotional energy, since there is nothing you can do about it and it's going to be there forever. I would rather use that energy to develop acceptance.;)

Skyeblue25 (189) | 1 month ago | I have got to agree with you, I once dated someone who had them all over and they really suited them. But I have seen others with them that look awful. I guess it is down to personal choice once someone is legally old enough to get one

| 5. maxpowr (25) | 1 month ago | I like tatoo but only which can be removed easily, I think putting tatoos on wholly body like we are playing with god creation, as we all know that we are god creation and nobody like to other play with his/her(god) creation.

Skyeblue25 (189) | 1 month ago | That is also a good point, thankyou. I guess your believes and morales have a lot to do with whether you agree with Tattoos or not as well

6. reinydawn (4233) | 1 month ago | I have a few, my son has 1. I think that as long as it's something that you know you are going to have to live with, and you're ok with that, then it's good. Tattoos aren't viewed the same as they used to be.
