E-bay is one of the most expensive ways to sell online, but it is simple and there is a large customer base. If you expect to pay about 10% if your cash receipts to e-bay you will be about right.
There are different ways to sell on e-bay. Auctions, Store Inventorys, Fixed Price.
All have different fee structues, some get you up front with a listing fee, others have small listing fees, but larger persentages of sales fee. And also they want you to use PayPal which is owned by e-bay and that will take a fee too.
You will have
Insertion fees
% of sale fee
Credit card processing fee.

It is free to join ebay and your first 5 listings(auctions) are free of listing fees. However, you will charged a percentage of the sales price for each sale and there is a listing fee (based on the the starting price) for each listing above 5. You need to check the ebay site to see what the charges are. If you use paypal to collect for auctions, there will also be some fees. That said, I sell things on ebay.
