I have just observed that a lot of people are putting their Yahoo Messenger on I'm mobile status. I do that too... for me the reason being I don't want to miss any messages from my husband however, whenever I receive messages from friends, I forget to respond. Does it really help to have your messenger on I'm mobile status? Does it still serve its purpose?

if you are going to be away from your computer for quite sometime, then i believe we must sign in to mobile status so you wont miss an impt message.

That is true though but then now I do not get the chance to respond to these messages, I am not sure if this is related to the service provider or not. So in order for people not to think that I am ignoring their messages, I just send them an email through my office email so that I would know if it is urgent or not. how about you? what do you usually do?

Before they send you that email, your friends are provided with info that you are on mobile status, surely you will receive the email, but it does not mean that you have to reply, you may or may not reply to the message its all up to you, That is why we sign in to MOBILE STATUS only to receive important emails, But you can use a phone that can log on to the internet, that is one way you can avoid such problems.

Yes that service is still available in yahoo messenger. If you logout you can get messages from your online friends.the problem in this after reaching certain limit you should reply at least one message for continue the service non stop. You will be charged for replying.

Sending the off line messages to your mobile is good, as long as you do reply to them at least once so that you can continue receiving messages from them... Before I had my ym connected to my mobile but I deleted it. I always failed to respond to their messages so worst, I rather read their messages late than not receiving it at all...

Hello funkeyguhl. With reference to your question, signing-in to Yahoo Messenger thru mobile is really a helping tool if you are waiting for some messages and dont want to missed it. Perhaps, try checking some settings wherein you can be invisible to others while appearing on-line or visible to your husband. Maybe the settings on the yahoo mobile services can be adjusted to an offline or online mode. Have a nice day.

I wanted to do it in my Yahoo messenger but I can't because its not yet allowed in mobile phones here in Korea. I don't want to miss any messages too if I'm away with my computer.
