hello winnie, they key to become a good teacher is being proactive with your students.. especially if you are a preschool teacher..toddlers are into learning things and they wouldnt want a teacher to be just in one corner so quite.

It is so nice that you were able to overcome the first challenge of being a teacher... and that is how to relate to your students... i had the same problem during my first few weeks as teacher years ago... but i was able to overcome that by compromising with the students...

that you are having the jobs as teacher in a school and also
this is one of the best profession in the world to helps many
more students to have the better and brighten life. As you have
knew that all the students are more energetic because of the young
and you need to cooperate with them in order to give the good enjoyments
to the students. So the relation between the students and teacher
should be always better and also need to be more closer in order to
make the students in the good carrier.

It is funny, but I would think that a common trait in teachers would be that they are quiet. I'm not a teacher. I just think this because I think teachers are nice and understanding people... Maybe I am wrong on a couple of my judgments. They have to be controlling to some extent too. But I think they learn how to complete and execute the job. And they each have a unique style. Their conscientious traits help them identify with their class.
When I had to take Job Surveys in school to see in which job field I'd best fit in, being a teacher was one of my higher scores. However I couldn't see myself doing it!

Hi winne. I read your article and memorized my school and teachers. Ther are more than 500 teachers in my school which includes both part-time teachers and full-time taechers. I think they are all very helpful and kind to us.
Most of them have got first-class teaching qualities. First,they always have got good methods and to make us understand even some pretty complicated knowledge. They seem to have the ability to explain the most complicated the theory with some pretty simpleways. After class, they are also very patient to answer each question from us. I think they are always ready to help us.
In my memory, some teachers are willing to share their stories with us and would communicate with us. They are understood us than our parents.They cared about us not only about our study but also about our life.
In a word, they are very helpful, I miss them until now.

Maybe i have the same experience with you. I am also an English teacher and i have been a teacher for one year. I also find the difficulities in my work, or in the work as a teacher! And best wishes for both of us and also our students!

I was giving tuition in my college days to support my own studies. I was teaching a 8 year old child, called Jagnoor. He was a sikh and he became so attached to me. He used to bribe me with chocolates for not informing his mother about incomplete home works.I taught him for 2 years. Gradually I felt he became obsessed and got annoyed whenever I wanted to take leave. He in fact told me to marry him so that I would always be his teacher. I was myself 17 year old. I felt embarrassed and thought for leaving.

I still miss him a lot and I know, he might not have meant those words or perhaps he did not even know what he was saying but, the sweet memories will always be there.
