Friends get mad at you, and don't speak to you for weeks. My dogs love me regardless if I feel bad or feel good. They really make my day.
I wouldn't trade the love my dogs have for me coming in from a hard day at the office, they are always happy to see me.

They also keep you entertained, running around playing, doing stupid things that make you laugh. It is said that people with pets live longer happier lives. I know my grandparents have been much happier since they got their cat. They love him, and live for him. People should only own pets if they can take car of them though.
