2.  Crestview (220) | 1 month ago |  I was at the game when the Av's beat Carolina. They seems to out-play the Av's in the first 10 minutes of the game, then they sat back and get out-skated. Defense seems to be lacking as they allowed a fair number of odd man rush type situations.

| canesfan1964 (105) | 1 month ago | I watched that game on Center Ice and you are right. Our defense has been troubled ever since Glenn Wesley retired. We got Aaron Ward back but he has not been doing anything (lazy!!). So disappointing. He is well liked in Carolina.
These "no-trade" clauses in contracts makes things difficult for teams. I would love to get rid of Wallin so we could get a young defenseman but he has a no-trade clause in his contract. Next year he will be a UFA and we can let him go. Its time.
Hopefully we can beat the Sharks today at home. We need a win to boost our morale. Go Canes!! | |

| canesfan1964 (105) | 1 month ago | There's no problem between Ward and Walker. Scott Walker is a class act and a great hockey player. He brings great leadership to our team. He made our 4th line last year.
Jim Rutherford thinks it is his fault. Our team has a lot of older players that maybe need to retire or get traded. I hate to see them go but they are not doing the job.
Maybe we will beat Florida tomorrow. | |

The Wings have come out so slow this season, it is hard to watch sometimes. I am already tired of the people that feel free to bash my guys as soon as they see the Wings Logo on my shirt. Like the wings, the Canes have alot of talent and repected players. These are the times we have to remember who they are, pretty soon they are going to remember too.
I wear my wing shirts every game day. After Last nights game you better believe I will be repeating the same shirt!!

| canesfan1964 (105) | 4 weeks ago | Thanks for the kind words about my hockey boys! I went to the game last night and I felt so sorry for them. They have lost all of their confidence. The post-game interviews were heartbreaking. They sounded so defeated and it is too early in the season to feel and look that defeated.
Those of us who are true Canes fans will hang in there with them because not only are they great players but they are really great human beings. They are the nicest guys. Will stay after practices and sign things and talk to you. So kind and gracious. The kids here love them.
Keeping my fingers crossed that we can win one on Friday against the Islanders!
