SMB - your first game

The first time I played Super Mario Bros. The original game for regular Nintendo was in 1992, at my godmother's house.

Aside from the first time, I have beaten it many times since, don't play it much these days though.

A classic though, and I will play it again sometime.;) Of Course!

Super Mario Bros. was the first game I ever played and it's what started me as a gamer. I was just almost 3 years old when my dad who went out to rent a Nintendo Entertainment System from the video store but they were all out so he surprised us all by buying one from there instead which was unusual for him and a great surprise. It came bundled with SMB/Duck Hunt and the zapper. We instantly fell in love with the game and I remember even my grandma loved playing it. I would play the game while my little two year old sister would hold the 2nd player controller thinking she was playing since she was too young to know how to play. Everything about that game was awesome from the mushrooms and warp zones and enemies and secrets and 1 ups all the way to the music and sound effects. It wasn't until many years later that I was finally able to beat it but I kind of cheated by warping I guess. However earlier this year I popped it in and was able to beat the game all the way through without skipping any. I still own the same game and system and I probably play the NES way more than any of the newer systems although I got a Wii and just got New Super Mario Bros. Wii which is a really great game. Anyway though, the original is a classic and still stands up 20+ years after it's initial release.

ooooo yes I remember wen I was small I was playing this game end then my father take away computer from me:D:D:D

Ahhh so many good memories.
My first Mario game was super mario 64, although it was my first (and still my favourite)i have since played all mario games (except the spin offs) I remember gazing up to my glowing tv screen in wonder as a small man in red threw a giant fire breahing turtle into an exploding spikey thing, i remember watching the same man leap into paintings.
Easily one of the most iconic figures of our generation.
