What do you think of difficult capcha codes at PTC sites?

I hate to go to PTC sites where I have to put a lot of letters and numbers (some that I don´t even see well) just to click a couple of ads.
Do you think this is necessary? Wouldn´t a clear, small, code be enough? What do you think of this and how do you feel about it? Do you know why they do it? Share

There are some nice sites that put 3 letters that you can read. But others have these fake words and long numbers. At some sites, it looks like the letters were dancing: you can´t figure them out.
Thanks for answering!

yeah true i hate them... some capcha codes would ask you to type
words that you can't read at all or something like $89,990,090.098
and for me that's really annoying... around 10 log ins...
about 3 or 4 times that have to retype the code geeeshh..

Right!
Why don´t they just put 3 nice, readable letters! That would leave the robots out, I suppose, but wouldn´t annoy the real people.
Take care, thanks for sharing.
