Sleeping: does your direction matter? |
|
Is it important to how well you sleep that you head be pointed to the N,S,E,W?
For me it is, I cannot sleep in a bed that has my head on the west side. It is the oposite cardnal direction of how I sleep at home. If I were to lay down in a bed facing the wrong direction I would have awful nightmares about falling all night. I have speculated that while the rotation of the earth is not noticable to our consious mind, while sleeping the fact that my head is going around before my feet may make me have a feeling of falling. Any one else got this problem, or any other sleep possition issues?

1. fmpisces (193) | 4 weeks ago | Hi rodsdman,
I wouldn't have a clue about N/S/E/W without taking a compass to bed with me lol but yeah, we have to have the beds situated in such a way that when we are sleeping the feet face the door, and not the head. Something to do with bad luck if you sleep with your head in the direction of the door. That's all we do.

I do remember my husband telling me not to face the head of the bed towards the door some time ago as I was moving furniture around, so think it was something to do with bad luck, negative energy and that kind of thing, he's into all that.

2. manong05 (2932) | 4 weeks ago | Your post brings to mind an article I read years back that when it is sleeping, our heads must be aligned with the magnetic north so the cells in our system will have proper alignment too. It will be beneficial to our health and avoid nightmares.
I was not really interested since I find it easy to sleep regardless of my position.

rodsdman (122) | 4 weeks ago | Interesting. Ya its funny, sleeping with my head north or south doesnt bother me, just west. Next time I sleep with my head north I will have to try and see if my dreams are different, calmer.
