Singstar for Playstation 2

So we have a Playstation 2 for the kids that they play every now and again, my husband and I aren't much into playing video games but with winter coming we were thinking about looking for something that we can all enjoy doing during the winter since we aren't going to be going out much. We already have board games that we do and my daughter and I both like to sing (as amateurs) so I asked for the Singstar game from my husband for Christmas that way we can all enjoy it. I am not sure what all I need for it thought since I am not a gamer and was wondering if anyone had this and could help me out.
I know you need the microphones but do I need different microphone per game or will the two microphones work for any game I choose whether it be 80's, country etc. I know I will have to get the game of my choice but do I need anything else to get this working? Thank for any help.

Hi froggieslover,
You need nothing more than the microphones and the game/games of your choice. You just plug them in, start the game and then sing your heart out
We bought the singstar mics and games for the same reason something for the winter nights and it is also great to use as a karaoke at parties
There are so many singstar games out there that there is one for every musical taste.

Great =) I was thinking that is how it worked from what I researched online but then I also saw discussions that looked like you needed extra microphones so I figured I better just ask....thanks so much for your response the zone....
