treasure hunting...!!!

For me treasure hunting sounds adventure! But what makes it beneficial to the people and natural resources? I have seen in the television, read articles and even in the actual scenario. I noticed treasure hunting, dealt with lots of digging, destroying natural beauty of the place, exploding and any medium that makes the job done faster. If they don't found something relevant they just left. I am asking your opinion, do we allow treasure hunting will come across to your place? Or let say, doing treasure hunting is illegal and should be stop!
