2. carmelbg (405) | 1 month ago | I was on my laptop in my living room. I have moved to my house in Bulgaria and don't have a tv subscription and do not listen to the radio. I logged into Facebook and saw comments from my friends, this is how I found out he died. It was such a shock he was an amazing performer with a difficult personal life. I hope he is peaceful now.

3. CatGods (1077) | 1 month ago | I have a t.v card on my computer and I was watching t.v at the time when I heard that Michael had died. At first I thought it was some kind of prank. But soon I realized that it was true. I couldn't work for a whole week, I was that shook up. Every day I watched the t.v. and cried. Some times I still shed a tear when watching his videos on youtube. I plan on seeing the movie "This Is It" and when it comes out on dvd I'm going to by at least 2 copies, one to use and one that will remain factory sealed. I think that those who love Michael should participate in the things that he cared most about like ecology and saving the planet, caring about each other and sharing love. Michael cared so much for the world and people. Don't let all of his hard work fade in the history books. Get out there and do some thing meaningful for the greater good of humankind. Man in the mirror, or person in the mirror.

Savvynlady (2966) | 1 month ago | You know it is funny that you mention the things he was talking about; I got to hear Earth Song AFTER his passing sadly, and I think about what he was trying to convey and to tell us and I am sorry we weren't good listeners. I agree. We in our way should try to keep his work going in our own little way.

4. gicolet (776) | 1 month ago | I was on my laptop browsing the internet and was still sad over the death of Farrah Fawcett when my husband called and told me that MJ died too. I was like "Are you sure???" He said yes...look it up online. I immediately looked it up and found very little news about his being taken to the hospital but no definite online news of being dead yet. I buzzed my brother online and told him about it and he also searched online if the news was true but found out that MJ was in a comatose only. A few minutes later LA times online announced that he was dead:( I then turned the TV on and watched the news about him the whole afternoon. It was so sad and shocking. It took about a month before it finally sunk in. I grew up listening to his songs. He was a great performer. I don't personally know him but I believe that he was a good person. I don't blame other people who don't like him though but i think they should leave him alone if they aren't perfect themselves. The guy is dead...what more do they want?

5. DanielleA (977) | 1 month ago | I was just about to lay down to go to sleep even though it was about 6am. My older brother was up and getting ready for work, when he went out into his car, he got in and then he came back in the house and he said, "it said on this news that Michael Jackson died". My brother told me because everyone I know knows I love Michael A LOT and have for many MANY years now! I didn't 100% believe him at first yet my heart felt so heavy and I had a terrible feeling that this sad news was true. I looked it up on the internet and it all said that same thing then I tried the TV. I stay up day trying to find out if it was all true. They only showed the news about Michael for many hours. Everyone kept saying that Michael passed away but I was not convinced. Maybe I was in denial? But everything hit hard when Jermaine came on TV and confirmed that his brother had died. Wow I am crying now, thanks a lot lol. Nah but that is what happened when I heard.
Have a great day and Happy MyLotting.

7. lelin1123 (4328) | 1 month ago | I was watching CNN when it started to be broadcast that Michael was taken to the hospital. A very sad day that I will always remember just like when JFK was assassinated, when Martin Luther King was assassinated, when RFK was assasinated and when Elvis was found dead in his bathroom. Not to leave out where I was on 9/11 -on the 86 floor of the WTC when the second plane flew into the building in which I was in. These are all things most people will always remember till the day they die.

8. Savvynlady (2966) | 1 month ago | I was at home; My mom was taken to the hospital and eventually a nursing home for three weeks for therapy; Well, I went to visit her; It was such a pretty day; but it was also hot too. this is the deep south; a fella took pity on me and drove me home. My boyfriend and I had a running conversation on the health care issue and the energy bill that was being set before Congress the following day; I was doing some research on that on my computer and when I got sufficient info, I called and told him about it, and then he said forget that, Michael Jackson just passed. I immediately called my honey a liar; he had to tell me again; I wouldn't believe it. I just heard about Farrah Fawcett's passing earlier that day and kind of knew her time was close; Ed McMahan died two days before that, so I left the stuff I was working on and TMZ.com was the ONLY site that confirmed it even before CNN and the rest. I went on Twitter, and it looked like anything dealing with MJ couldn't be accessed; Facebook had a running dialogue; Some said he was dead, some not, so I suggested in light of things that we pray for the brother because chances are he needed intercession; well, I went back to CNN and they confirmed his death around 5pm my time. just before the news went on here because they was scrambling on that. Now, I grew up on the Jackson 5 and Michael Jackson's music. I could tell you events with the songs he sung. it just paralleled my own life and I couldn't believe this fragile yet talented man was gone. It just took something out of me. My mom later told me that at the nursing home, if you happened to be somewhere where assistance was needed, then you was stuck there; those nurses and aides gathered around a tv and stayed there. I will never forget it myself.

| 9. daffy6 (88) | 1 month ago | I was at home browsing the internet and I search the other news sites before I believe. Michael Jackson was the best singer and entertainer to me. I started listening to his records when I was 12 years old and his first song that caught me was I'll be there. Will missed him

| 10. shiningstar79 (36) | 1 month ago | I was in my workplace when one of my friends who was online gave me the news. At first I never trusted him as I always believed Michael was immortal. This was a complete shock to me. The fact that a genius like Michael who has entertained the world right from his childhood days is gone and the fact that we could never have a another king of pop, was too much for me to handle.
Even now I do not believe that he is gone. I have this feeling that he is somewhere, entertaining someone. May be God and heaven were so crazy about Michael that he wanted to make Michael his own.
Love you Michael and R.I.P
