Why do they keep calling me?  |

 I am home trying to get some mylotting and some television in and my phone will not stop ringing...
Last night my mother called me and asked if I could watch her dog for about half an hour while she went to the doctors...she had to bring her dog into the vet and needed me to watch the dog while she went to the doctor so she didn't have to run her all the way home after the vet but so anyways I told her that I would be here and that would be fine.
Today she has called here three times already to tell me that she is thinking of coming in early, then to tell me that she she is coming in at regular time and this last time to tell me that she will just be coming in by herself because the vet canceled due to an emergency. Well here it is two hours later and she still hasn't showed up yet her sister(my aunt) has called her four times asking if my mother has showed up yet....it is driving me insane.
I know realize why these two are related because neither of them no when to give up, I stopped answering the phone for my aunt just because how many times does she need to be told my mother has arrived yet, I told her I would let my mom know that she called when and if she arrived but yet she is so impatient she can't wait. My mother has been doing the same thing lately. I was on the phone with her last night and my friend from out of state called so I told my mom I would call her back in a bit well I was on the phone with my out of state friend for about an hour and can you believe my mother tried calling 4 times...and then again 3 minutes after I hung up. She is driving me nuts, it is like she gives me no time to breath Grrr...
So what about you...do you have a mother or any one else that is like this and if so how do you deal with it????

It's not that I don't love talking to my mom but there comes a point when it becomes too much. She will call and if I don't answer the phone she will call and call until I do even if I am not here she will repeat her calls and leave messages until she gets an answer it is like she doesn't think that I am able to leave the house and have a life and if I don't answer she will say I know you are there pick up and while I am most of the time there are times I am sleeping or even at times not even here....I am not saying she can't call but every half and hour becomes too much on me. | froggieslover (1361) | 2 months ago | I know that I am lucky to still have my mother to talk to and I love that we are as close as we are but I also think that sometimes she needs to let me breathe and live my own life just for a little bit. She will call sometimes ten times a day and of I am out doing something or I tell her that I will be back at a certain time she will call just 5 minutes after I walk in the door... I wish it was my kids friends that call that way I can have a break LOL Thanks for the response | |

| froggieslover (1361) | 2 months ago | You have to know my mom, she does that all the time when she has plans to come into town..she will call and then stops off at all these places before she comes into do what she was meant to in the first place. I knew where she was it is just that she hadn't informed my aunt that she had left yet and it when my aunt tried to call her house she wasn't there because she had already left and headed into town to do her errands and because she hadn't stopped by my aunts yet it was driving her nuts. I would of course be worried if she was suppose to be somewhere and hadn't arrived two hours later but I knew this particular time that she was safe and my aunt was just being annoying LOL Thanks for your response. | |

| froggieslover (1361) | 2 months ago | Hello Peaceful, yeah I know they love me as I do them and I am very happy that i am still able to be very close with my mom and aunt but there are just sometimes when it gets too much like when my aunt calls and I tell her my mom isn't here yet and then she continues to call every 10 minutes after that..I told her if my mom arrived I would let her know that my aunt wants her to call before she leaves, I have never let her down before and have always told my mom to call my aunt when she arrived so stop second guessing me.....thanks for your response. | |

What I have tended to do a lot of the time, is set my Cell phone on silent or to where it will Vibrate when someone tries to call me or Text me. This way I cannot be bothered by someone unless I happen to notice someone calling or texting me. And since I have Voice mail if it is important enough, they can leave me a message and I will get back to them as soon as I can.

not altogether the best company. I tried not to get annoyed but
it was tough as I had a husband and family of my own to take care of too. I got her started on some outside interests and she became engrossed inthose and did not have time to call me all day and all night like before. so i got to see more of my own family and she was happier too. so it worked out well for both of us. | |

She calls me out of boredom because when he boyfriends is home she doesn't call me as much. I am not saying that she can't call, there are times when it becomes to much and I can't even get a chance to go throughout my day without having to run and pick up the phone....Thanks for your response hatley | |
