i had no intention of offending anyone by saying sticking it out and i wasn't saying anyone failed actually what i meant was that i had a really hard time keeping it going long enough to get away from the painful first weeks it was a harder thing than delivery by far in my opinion (i didn't have any kind of pain meds because i got to the hospital too late). so i feel like women who also were able to are troopers but no hard feelings for the ones who couldn't because of things like cracked nipples and such.i don't think anyone has failed unless they let their baby die of starvation which is the only failure in this debate. also thats why i wanted to know about the whys because i know it not black and white nothing in life is or ever will be weather people think so or not. and i agree jars would be more convenient for going out but i rarely leave the house at this point so thats not a concern for me. finally i apologize if anything else i said here seems offensive.

first congrats being the first daddy to answer this discussion i'm proud of you. and yea i'm happy with the fact my baby hasn't gotten sick yet hes only had to go to the pediatrician for the well baby checkups that he gets his vaccinations at. and yea i have a lot of fun cooking so it was logical that i start making the foods myself :)

yeah, and the good thing is that our children never develops the fear of the dreadful "syringe". I knew most of the children runs "amok" when they saw its shinning tip during vaccination.

mine isn't super afraid of the needle or at least he doesn't scream he just gets angry at the nurse that gives him the shots its actually kind of funny.

I see many kids like that in many of our visit to the pedia. I remember one of my kids when she's still a baby that she often cries after taken the shot and not before she saw the needle. She a tough one and now and so does my other kids.

I avoided the meat dilemma by not giving her any until she was two years old, lol. Except for fish. I think I gave her fish at 9 months. To date, I've only been sticking to chicken/turkey. :)

first thank you for telling me about that it must have been nerve wracking knowing your little one might starve :( i remember being worried that my milk wouldn't come in and there'd be some problem like that once again i got lucky and he seems to be getting plenty. but also as long as they are healthy and happy thats all that matters :)

i'm sorry you have difficult in-laws i thankfully don't have that problem as his mom died before i met him and i can just tell his dad to shut up if he annoys me and he listens which is nice. i like that you reused the jars my family reuses many kinds of food containers for things like leftovers because its cheap and convenient and we can use the ones that our local recycle plant doesn't take at this time till they are worn out so they don't create as much waste.
