taken off the schedule |
|
So I finally got my new career offer. After 5 and a half years of serving/bartending I am able to move on. I gave my notice and they took me off the schedule, instead of letting me work out my notice. Now I don't start my new job for 10 more days and it will be a month before I get paid. Oh, how much corporations appreciate us in the end. Anyone else had a similar situation happen to them?

1. SomeCowgirl (8423) | 2 months ago | I read your other discussion on the matter of switching jobs. I hate that you aren't going to be paid for what a month? That is pretty bad. That hasn't happened to me before, but I'm sorry it is to you. You have a child do you not? Well here's to hoping your mylotting and online ventures will help pay the bills for the month you'll be without a paycheck!

3. trisha27 (499) | 2 months ago | That has never happened to me before. But wow, that is not right that they dropped you like that from the schedule. Well, I hope everything works out for you until you are able to start working.

5. mrnowrench (266) | 2 months ago | I live in a right to work state and they do that on a daily basis no one cares anymore they just want the job done and that is a shame. And they will screw anyone and everyone out of their unemployment benefits too.
