Has anyone ever successfully gotten rid of a timeshare?

Hi, Alright, a couple years ago my wife and I got talked into buying a timeshare (ugh). I know, everyone knows they're a bad idea but we thought "this one is different..." Anyway, we used it once, and it was awesome, but for the next 4 years we've been unable to go during our allotted week and obviously we're losing money on it. So for the last 2 years we tried selling it but, surprise surprise, no one wants to buy. We found a company ( http://www.squidoo.com/apex-professionals-services-llc ) that says they can help us sell it. Has anyone used a company like that before? Omg, we even tried GIVING our timeshare away to a charity but they didn't want it either (then again, I guess it's not too much of a charity to say "here's this free thing... have fun paying annual dues). Help!
