Of course. Typing "LOL" reflects how you feel about a certain phrase, topic or conversation. Some people may not be smiling but they probably feel like laughing out loud. lol

Take me for an example, I don't literally LOL here at the office but that's how I feel about certain conversations or phrases from my friends. happy

Lol it is a word used in chat mostly, sort of appreciation, while typing this i never laugh out loud or feel like laughing, but i like the words.
