if that is how you feel, why dont you tell him? not on a defensive tone, but with a soft tone. Tell him that you like him a lot (or even love), but things are going too fast..and it's making you uncomfortable. Explain to him that you are not loving him less just because you dont want to call him schnookums. it's better for you to share with him your feeling rather than be committed to a relationship that's going too fast, and for him to be so dependent on you.

It seems you have different "speed". Not to many can be done, if none of you is not ready to find a compromise solution .. Oh, yes, should be both of you ready to negociate.

Some guys are just mushy and way to advance in their plans. I experienced that in the past and I regretted worrying to much in the future cause my relationship with that person didn't even last a year. I think he will eventually learn to adjust as time goes by.

it happened with me too.in our country we have this arranged marriage system where parents chose ur life partner. for me too a guy was chosen.he too as u stated was in the relationship race car (i like the words) .he was asking for too much at a time.from the very next day we met he decided everything what i would be doing after marriage single handedly and thoroughly complained that i seem too discreet.i tried to discuss how uncomfortable it is being for me to fall in love instantly,start calling him by nicknames,profess my undying love and plan my complete future in one go. but instead of understanding he started accusing me of being not loving enough..he also started getting doubts that i might be having relationship with someone else.it was hell so i decided to broke off,even with my family being dead against of what i did .for them it was a prestige issue, for me it was my life.....
so i feel you should talk to him once and for all about this .see how he reacts.if he understands..good enough..if he doesn't...try and think about your true feelings...and decide whats better for you.all the best...
