Hi All,
I came across this in my newspaper, as well as Web:
Nepal cabinet would be holding a meeting at Mount Everest base Camp : at a height of 5,360 metres (17,585 feet) above the mean sea level. The objective would be to focus the world's attention on reducing the effects of global warming and climate change on the Himalayas before the Copenhagen meeting.Records indicate large scale retreating of glaciers and reduced amount of snow on major peaks as well as other areas in the Himalayas- ranging from Nepal to Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir as well as areas in China and Pakistan.
What do you make of it?
Regards
