 I am thiking about upgrading my laptop from Vista (boo hiss) to windows 7 and am wondering what people think about it..Is it worth the 120.00? I figure anything has to be better than Vista, no?

 sulsisels (211) | 1 month ago | Windows xp in my opinion is much better than Vista and if I were you I would stick with it too. I am going to go ahead and buy the 7 upgrade as I have already said, anything is better than Vista..I was in office depot yesterday and played around with a gorgeous desk top that was installed with windows 7. I have to stay that I was definately impressed with just the little I saw..The new computers are so gorgeous. I kind of wish I had never gone in there because now I want a new desk top!! Oh well, never satisfied I guess! Thanks for the response J | |

| 2. indclub (68) | 1 month ago |  7 is a great improvement over vista, but according to some news I read on the web there is a grave, still unfixed, security issue and some people recommend waiting until the service pack one is released before upgrading or using it. On the other hand, you could give a try to the latest version of ubuntu which was released last week (more on www.ubuntu.com);; it has some pretty cool visual effects even on not expensive computers.

I'm not familiar with ubuntu with the exception of the name and will look into it..Thanks for the info. 3.  Phlamingho (7334) | 4 weeks ago |  It's very much worth it. I hate vista so much that I seriously thought about getting a mac or switching to linux, however win 7 has kept me on ms win. It's a great OS. Not as great as XP, but waaay better than vista.
