Personally I haven't had an Indian friend and I encountered some Indians online yes they are proud of their culture and heritage like we do.

When you are going from Road and in between you find that a group of people worshiping God, then all of sudden you caught yourself in a heavy traffic jam. Will God become happy in such type of worship. In diwali People like to burn diwali bomb and make huge noise. Will Goddess Laxmi give money to them? People are fighing for religion.
