How long does it take you to fall asleep??? ZZZzzzzZZZZzzz  | | Me, it takes hours...really. I'll stare at the ceiling, and the wall (our clock produces a red projection of the time on the wall) for hours. Tossing and turning, just listening to him sleeping sound next to me.
Why can he fall asleep so fast?
My mom took me to the doctor when I was little--because I would never sleep--and he suggested white noise. I don't think that's going to work for him, and I'm not sure sleeping with headphones is really my thing.
However, I'm wondering if it's just me. Maybe I'm crazy, but it's hard for me to turn it off...to just...let...go... So any tips and tricks on how to doze off to sleep?
Or do you just pass out, in less than 5 minutes like everyone else I know? What's the secret?

Yoga is one of the more helpful elements that I've added to my life; however, I believe having more insight on proper formation, other positions, etc, would be nice.

My usual sleeping time is 10:00 pm and if I am going to sleep earlier than that time, I would have difficulty getting it. I would just toss and turn until it I reach the time. In case I have to stay awake longer than 10:00 pm, I need to be busy with something or else I would fall asleep instantly. For someone who has a regular routine job, they will be able to develop sleeping time but for those whose schedule is changing from time to time, they are usually the one who has difficulty getting a good night sleep.

I seldom get to bed before midnight, but I am asleep just about as my head hits the pillow, or as soon as I have wriggled into a comfortable position.
I'm afraid I'm not in a position to offer advice, but it might help to take note of what you do in the hours before bed. Do you exercise your mind? Do you watch TV? Does anything tend to make you feel sleepy? I know with some people a hot bath will make them sleepy, but a shower will wake them up. Have you tried a glass of warm milk before bed?

I am mentally busy from the moment I wake up. From the moment I realize I'm awake, my dreaming are flooding back and I'm analyzing what happened last night.
Then, I get to my computer*which I think has me wired, and is part of the issue* and do my homework/business and research.
My mind is constantly running, analyzing, conceptualizing, etc. The television makes me think more--to me it's an active experience--and I can hear the sounds of electronics when they are running....so at night, I hear everything, and television makes it worse.
Maybe exercising before bed would help, but that always messed up my eating schedule, because I'd either get hungry, and then can't sleep, or the natural oxygen rush adds to my natural energy....
Warm milk grosses me out, lol... but herbal teas might have hope! Thank you for your suggestions!

If someone didn't sleep it will give bad health effect. Sleep will happen if you been tried and sleepy. So do more activity and enough sleep everyday. College might be why I don't sleep. I think about it all the time, and devote myself wholeheartedly to my studies.
I never understood how some people could just waste their lives away while they slept.
I've never been a big sleeper.
Maybe I should try taking a nap, if I'm ever tired during the day (or have time)lol, and see how my sleep schedule plays out..
Go to bed early, can't sleep. Go to bed late, can't sleep, wake up later. Hm.
Work hard, study endlessly, far too curious and too much to see...not enough time...

Keeping my eyes closed is probably the only thing that helps. Sometimes I feel like I'm just lying there forever...I just pray for the sun to come up! I'd rather have the day be here, so I can just be up...instead of having him wonder why I get out of bed every night.:/

I would rather lay to sleep when I am really very tired and sleepy so I sleep right away..If I still am not sleepy, I try doing some useful stuff or just surf on the internet just to have something to do.:D
