What had made you most depressed in your life for now?

When I was in high school, I was kicked out by my cousin and his mother in their home. They told me that I am unwanted and I need to find a place for me and not stay in their house. It was very depressing for a young boy as I am. I don't know what to do and I don't know where to go. I was thinking at that time to end my life but then I believe that God didn't allowed it and I am happy today knowing that despite what happened, there is someone who really care for me and love. His name is Jesus Christ. Oh what an experience.

When i was five years old my dad hit me over the head with a board. This made me sick, messed up my speech, and made my walking bad. This was a very depressing experience, since it helped to ruin my life.

A few years ago I was in a horrible relationship. All he ever did was cheat on me. He took away my self-esteem and my ability to trust other people. For years I was in a deep depression because of the way he treated me and the way he ingrained into my head that I am worthless and unlovable.

Now I've met a person who restored my faith in people. He has single-handedly lifted a depression that lasted more than five years.

Worrying living from hand to mouth is very depressing for me.

I loved a girl very much during my college but before I could tell her my love, i came to know that she is already committed to someone else.This made me very depressed and it took me few months to overcome it.but I am not that stupid to give up my life for that...this experience helped me to become emotionally stronger...thanks to that girl....i still love her...

For me it was a heart attack. It almost killed me and took me 4 years to get enough health back to do anything more than walk. It was very depressing.

I am doing a whole lot better now and even started a garden this year and went fishing more than I have in the past 5 years. It's great to be alive.

In 2005 I had my worst depression. I went to nursing school at that time, and I loved nursing. I always enjoyed working with people and I found nursing very interesting, challenging and rewarding. I was sure that I had finally found the right job and I wanted to become a psychiatric nurse when I had finished my education. Unfortuneately I became ill, and I had to leave the nursing school. It was very hard for me to accept that I was never going to become a nurse, and I had a severe depression. I sometimes miss nursing, but I have learned to concentrate on other things instead.

Well it started last year at Christmas. My mum was ill but we didnt know what was wrong. At the the time I was doing my GCSEs(big exams) also. So I was always worried. We eventally got her into hospital and she got an operation for a lump...which I was never told about. A few months later my Uncle died from Cancer and I went to the funeral. This was the day after my mums operation. After the funeral I went to see her to see how she was doing. So my family went to see her. She said there was complications and they couldnt remove it and that the surgeon wanted to talk to my dad.

My dad went to talk to him and he came back and said she had a severe tumor too big to remove and if removed would kill her. At that point I broke down and had to be taken away to a family room. So she had bowel cancer. I later had to become the mum of the house until my mum gets back on her feet which she hasnt so far.

The depression fueled by school pressure caused me to self harm for awhile.

My mum has MS ontop of the cancer so its alot to handle. I completed my GCSEs with 2A*s, 6As and 2Bs which isnt bad.

This school year is now very tuff though because my mum has gotten very bad again but this time I am doing AS exams(Part of entry to University in future).

My mum went through chemo and she did fine and was on her break. She got the flu jab which has given her a bug and the doctors dont know what it is. For a few days she forgot everything and mixed me and my sisters up, she didnt know when it was day or night or even if the nurse had seen her yet. Right now she cant walk because she has no energy because of the bug and she also has blood clots in her legs. And once again I have no time for school work as me and my sisters have to look after the house.;-(
