Does anybody out there have a recipe for home made rootbeer? My grandmother used to make the best. She would bottle it and sell it in the neighborhood for 1.00 a bottle..When she passed, I got all her cookbooks but could never find the recipe for the rootbeer..If anyone has one for some good old fashioned, I would really like to have it..I want to do rootbeer floats with homemade ice cream for an upcoming dinner party..Thought I'd go all the way and make the soda too!! Thanks in advance.. J

My husband loves Root Beer, but sorry, he just buys it in the cans and I wouldnt know how to make it.

lol i have not heard this word root beer, i just know what 'beer' is, lol to be honest i tell you i have not tasted beer or any sort of wine, here the tribals on the other side of the river prepare some sort of mild wine from a root, that looks like sweet potato, i think it is similar to what you speak of......
