Why Devil rebelled against God  |

 The story says that Devil rebelled against God. This is something to be pondered.
Surely the Devil must have had a very good reason for rebelling against God. Why would he rebel without a solid reason?
God must have done something very bad. The Devil saw this and he must have been horrified, shocked. His conscience made him question God.

In fact, he had the same reason that mankind has today.
You can call it pride, or jealousy, or just plain old stubborn self-will, or a few other things, but the devil wanted his own way. He wanted to call the shots. He wanted to do his own thing. He wanted to be his own boss. He wanted everything.

| 4. lotterylover (4846) | 2 months ago |  From what I have recently learned is that Lucifer had been included in all the other meetings when the Godhead was planning on making a new world. This time he was not included because of what he was going to do (God knows end from the beginning). The real question is why did the Godhead go ahead an plan on starting another world when they knew what was going to happen. Like others have posted, Lucifer's pride got the best of him. It is interesting to notice how Lucifer didn't have the courage to attack God alone. He got 1/3rd of the angels to agree with him. IT is also interesting to notice how he was able to convince that many angels to believe him. It is a sobering thought to know how easy it was for him. He will be able to do the same with us if we aren't walking with God.
