 I remember I used to like everything off my plate when I was a kid, just like our sons dog does. My mom was such a good cook.
Well that went on for a few years and then one day it was time to stop but now I use a slice of bread to do the plate clean up for me.

We should correct them. We should teach them the good manner and let them get use to bad manners just be coz we were like that in our small ages... | |

5.  opalina143 (675) | 1 month ago |  I don't believe I ever licked my plate. I can't remember ever doing it as a kid. I think that was because my mom would never have stood for it. She would always tell my sister and I to eat like grown ups and have table manners. So licking the plate would not go over that well.
So I never got into the habit of it, and don't do it now. In fact, I think its a bit gross.

I have done it all my life and so has my son, but we still have the best manners when we are out or have company. We can do both. Give it a try. | |

I was raised in the military (Dad was a lifer in the Marines) and if we had ever done that, we would have been told to leave the table while undergoing some very harsh criticism. No, that would have never flown in my house. I don't think the thought of doing so ever crossed my mind anyway. We have two legs, not four. sorry..
