How does everyone feel about Rihanna just now speaking out about Chris Brown?

Well I feel like this, when you are attacked by a man, sometimes you wan to forget about it, and it is too hard, for you to bring it all up again, and she just want to be left alone, I know how I left when my husband attacked me, I just want him out of my life so I could be to myself, you don't get over everything, over night sometimes the scars take time to heal, and I believe that is what Rihanna was going through.

now you know her pr people dictated that situation for her... the record label had to make sure that they didn't lose any money behind the drama... and now she wants everyone to know "the truth" now that she has been given the green light...

It doesn't bother me. I think it could serve as a lesson to women who are being abused. I saw part of her interview in the news and she still appears to be quite traumatized. I don't blame her though. I don't think this issue will ever be entirely swept under the rug. When a woman is beaten, should it be swept under the rug? That woman could be your sister, mother or someone you love.

I think her coming out and talking about it is a brave thing to do. Why she came out now? Well, who knows. Maybe because she wasn't ready to do that before. What she does on her time is her business. Chris Brown has also had the opportunity to speak about what he did so I don't see why she shouldn't be given the chance. Just cause she apparently gave a full account, a lot of people seem to think "Why not let it go?" and make it look like she's the bad person in it.

I feel that it is old news but I also feel that when you put a popular face on a sensitive issue, it draws more attention. I think she could use her experience to influence women to make better choices.
