How can we make the world a better place to live-in?

Just finish hearing the beautiful song "Heal the World", sung by various artist led by the Pop King. Question pops-up my mind instantly, how can we make a difference and make the world a better place to live-in? For me, I would make "myself" better each and every day as I am a part of it.

I think it should be started from our family. Family is the real basic of the society. If we can make our family a real place of peace and love, we do contribute in the development of a better world.

for me ,maybe the answer is just enjoy everything around u,good thing and bad thing.here the word enjoy maybe means u should accept some things, at the same time, u must do sth to change some bad things, and no matter endings, u should keep a positive attitude continuously.

I have some ideas: 1. we shouldn't use so many cars to use up so many gas. 2. we should process rubbish very carefully to make sure it will not pollute the earth. 3.we should grow trees as much as we can, there are less and less plants in cities.
