Botanically tomato is a fruit. Kidney stones are of different types. Citrus fruits, apples, tomato, orange, lemon and strawberries should be avoided in the case of patients suffering from uric acid stones but for patients with calcium stones, it is allowed.

tomato is a type of fruit. we accidentally clasify it as vegetables because we often use it in cooking. eating its seeds is unhealthy practice in eating tomatoes. because they are tiny they could lodge in your appendix which cause infections and later onn become appendisitis but not kidney stone, after all it does not come from animal by products.
