PBA vs ABL which holds the future of Philippine Basketball? |
|
I know PBA has been around for the longest time but now that a carefully planned (and financially budgeted) Regional League is around, how do you think it is going to affect Philippine Basketball in the long run? Is PBA threatened? Do you think time will come that ABL will be the perennial league in the region and PBA will turn into "just another basketball league"? Your thoughts on this.

tokouchi (128) | 4 weeks ago | Very true indeed. I think it's only a matter of time before they start venturing outside of the PBA. I mean, they do have 4 franchises in the PBA (really, thats too much, it can almost be called a monopoly of sorts). If the ABL marketing strategy is as good as they say (and if only they makes their games live on local TV) I am definite that in the near future we see our stars showing their stuff in the ABL.
