Has any girl followed gerard butlers advice in the movie the ugly truth?

I watched the movie and no, I wouldn't follow his advice. With the hot dog thing, I think it works for girls on playboy but I reckon it'd look funny if you did that in public.

Well, except for the 'hotdog' thing. I believe Mike Chadway's advice on the Ugly Truth make sense. I've read them on 'The Rules' book. You will also find some of his advice on the book by Sherry Argov, "Why Men Love Bit--s". Three things mentioned in the movie that really are true based on my experience. 1) Men are so visual. They fall in love with your looks first. Once, they're bored, they will look for whatever other traits you have. The intelligent men will dig further, but the cheap ones will just look for other girls. 2) 'Don't be too bold or too forward'. Men love 'the thrill of the chase'. The cat-and-mouse game that women find maddening is actually very exciting to men. 3) 'Laugh at everything he says'. My God, this is so true. From my experience, men are soooo easy. I laugh at all the jokes my boss, my best friend, my male colleagues say, and they keep coming back to me for attention. You do this, and the guy is hooked on you. The only problem is, how to get rid of a guy who becomes sooo boring.

Mike Chadway is so irritating. lol.

I think some of his advice would probably work, but would you be getting to know the real person? Do you want to be in a relationship with someone you really don't know?
