Hmmmm it is hard to explain, you should google it or even look at google street view as you can see the areas from a personal view.
Some areas are really nice looking while others can be a bit dirty and scary. It is the same with most places really; there is good and bad.
London can be exciting I suppose especially if you have never been to England before. You would like all the big buildings and Big Ben you'd see the river going through.
Lots of shops and lots of people pushing through.
There are some nice traditional places, one example of a place I go to sometimes is called Cambridge, it has nice a nice background to it and it quite a well known place for it's University.
I think in some places there is a lot of pride to be British, but again in many places people aren't proud and feel hard done by, we aren't exactly rolling in money in all parts and there is a tension between most people and the people running the Country. I think that is evident in some parts.
Anyway I hope this helps, I recommend you visit, you can only truly know what it is like if you see it, anyone's opinions is irrelivant really!
