Im 18 yrs old. So is it still bad for me to hang out at night?

Well, I understand what she means, I have friends that also drink and smoke. But they don't persuade me to do it, now I think I've only drunk about 4 times this year. We only drink and ask each other out because we wanted to have a good time, they're my high school friends, and not everyone needed to drink, we just want if for bonding moments. LOL

There's nothing wrong with hanging out with friends.
I don't think drinking is bad either.
However, when it comes to drinking or all sorts of vices like smoking that you do with your friends, I think you should try your best to be in moderation.
Like in the case of drinking, we all know that getting drunk is very RISKY.
All sorts of unethical and unexpected things can happen when you're drunk. You know that right?
So I think discipline should not be neglected if you don't want to regret anything in the end.

Well for in case. The only thing that i could say is that, it depends on how you will handle it, and you are 18, and your age is enough to know the proper meaning of discipline. That's all happy mylotting

Im really amazed of what you said. Well I listened to my mom, but she repeat and repeat what she just said. And I also do some explanations that i can protect myself and i know the troubles ill get. I dont spend money just for drink, my friends do. Thank you for your care. I really appreciated.

Well, I know what you feel especially when our moms repeat the same thing over and over, and especially when they don't listen to what we are saying even if we have the rights and we have a point. But I think that's how they care, we should just listen as long as we're staying in one roof. Just want to share, I have a friend and classmate that when we were in high school we have the same situations and problems in our home, like being scolded and everything. Now when we got into college he chose the course IT and got a lot of spare time, he used it to just play an online RPG game, Cabal to be specific, after almost 1 year of being addicted to it, he is already earning money, by selling items in real life. Now because of that his mother is not being strict to him anymore and can do almost what he wanted because he's helping in their financial problems. LOL.

I a never habituate to advice other, but always try to analyze every mater. I here want to analyze that if you are habituate in that what you are expressing in your life I think this is best moment for you to rethink again and again. And you are now mature enough for take the best decision for you.
I don't want to advice that you should necessarily leave you that habit. If your conscious say that that habit to be hang out is the best for you you can.

And if you are benefited by that habit and ever get any positive result from that though your mom is now scolding you for drinking ...she too appreciate you later. And feel ashamed before you for prohibited you from such a good habit you achieved but she want to restrict you..

.....But for that you have to be confirm on the good what you accept from this habit.

So always take your decision yourself but be careful... because once some thing done never can be undone.

I want to clarify that I am not a father. And to feel what parent think of their child it not needed to be father. Son and daughter too can feel the affection of their parent. It is right that it taste bitter to bear the scolding from some near and dear one.

But do you ever here that any stranger ever scold any other stranger.

We are being scold by some near and dear one. Who love only they scold us. Do don't love just instigate us. Some we feel good in instigation ....But result always bad.

What the poster of the discussion I just try to observation on the matter and what I have I felt just place here without any partiality. And I never talk with people to please him or her. You are right! Do not advice, just guide. Let them decide for themselves. Advising is a real no no, because if something not good happens, the blame will be on you, the one who advices. I have lots of answer but still hesitate to give as I know it is bitter to taste.

What you age is not a matter for your life.....how you passed the age is the cause what you will be achieved in the life.

And just look what is happening around right now,at this present era of earth.

That is the matter of worry. Yes now one blame to you for the wrong what you do. Ideal situation to pass the teenage and heaven to the young. But just think that you are enjoying the the heaven and the hell is waiting for you. What need to be blamed by other. One day you will find to blame to self.

So I never advice to other because I feel this I should keep it for me ...because I know it has more importance to me that that of to whom I want to offer.

So no one here to blame and no need to care of other ... just do what is like best for you....

Yes your right it's a matter of their beliefs. But my mom is not that strict at all. Because she still allowed me to go out at night and once i got home, she explained everything. that's the worst. lol
My friends here is some foreigners from France and Belgium and they really prefer to go out at night. Which is okay with me. Im used to it then.

Really! friends from Belgium and France how you meet these people from internet and i thought it was your schoolmate from your old school. So no wonder your parents are not allowing you to hang out at night. I believe they are your parents so they know what is good and bad for you. With regards to beliefs and traditions I know some parents are like that and as a child we have to respect out parent. Do not need to be a father? How can you say that? If you do not even know the feeling of having kids that you treasure more than your life? It's easy to say, but i guess being a father makes it a little different, i am a father now. At first i was like you. But then being a father is far more different. I can say that i can even kill my best friend or own parents just for my kids. That is being a father. That is why it is very hard for the parents to accept if something bad happens to them. You are not a father, therefore i think you should not say that "do not need to be a father" cause you still don't know the feeling of being a father. Feeling is is different from the real feeling that a man is already a father. It is really different. Anyway i cannot argue with you to your beliefs and principle in life. That is you. There is something called 'good' and 'bad' in life. But the limits are not the same for all. Depending on so many factors, one become good or bad. Being in a country like India(if you are so), known for its culture you must be knowing your limits better.
