I've been looking at the NuWave Pro on TV. Yes, that usually means junk. But it looks soooo good!!! The NuWave is the infrared oven that cooks a turkey from frozen to the table in 2-1/2 hours with LESS fat. Out of 189 thousand members, surely somebody has bought one & can tell me why the like (or don't like) it. Please tell me YOU are one of those people!!!

Hi LadyM,
This is the first time I have ever heard of it, but it sounds a brilliant invention! Especially if it is healthier too for you, Will have to look out for the Nuwave, it hasn't been on any adverts here in the UK that I know of so will probably look it up on the net...LoLo

They claim that it removes 250% MORE fat!!! My common sense tells me it's junk like all of the other infomercial stuff, but my heart wants somebody to tell me they bought one & it works!!! You can find it at nuwaveoven.com I usually stay away from infomercial buys, but I WANT THIS ONE!!!

Nope not I..but anything that cooks a frozen turkey in that amount of time is worth looking into..so how much would one of those things cost? I have wanted one of those express cookers.

I'm still considering buying one. If you look back up to pye's response she gave us some good links to people who have bought one. I don't think I'd buy one from the company that sells them on TV. In doing some looking, I found the small one at JC Penney's for $119.95. There is a higher quality one through Kohl's for $144.95. Living by myself, I'm thinking that the one at Penney's will be perfect for me. I don't need the expansion ring because I will only be cooking small pieces of meat for myself. Penney's will have it delivered to your door for the $119.95 plus sales tax. Shipping is free. I feel that Penney's will accept a return if I find it to be crap where with the online company it would be a hassle. The people who have bought one other than online speak of how good the food is. Those buying online have been unhappy with the ripoff of price quoted vs price charged. At this point, I'm just waiting for payday to place my order with Penneys. If and/or when I get mine, I'll be happy to share what I learn from the experience!!!

I'll send Gissi a message if I get a positive response. In reality, I'm not going to hold my breath until I get one, but I can HOPE can't I??? Living alone, I think it would be much more efficient than heating up my oven (& in the process my whole kitchen). It would mean I could pop a cut of meat out off the freezer & have it ready to eat in less than 30 minutes. Being that it's frozen, it would take a minimum of an hour in the oven. So I've saved electricity for the difference of an oven for an hour & the cooker for 30 minutes. Then there's the extra heat the oven generates which warms up my kitchen & makes my window a/c run like crazy to cool the room back off. Then there's MY discomfort until the a/c gets me cooled back down. I like the idea id 30 minutes from freezer to tummy!!!

I have cook like this. now big turkey like 19 or 20 lbs take all night slow in the oven.about 8 hours. on 200 deg. the 6 to 8 lbs turkey you cook at 375 to 400 deg. And also all turkey just about has no fat at all ,only the skin.

It's not offered on a cooking show linda. It's an infomercial item. That's why I'm assuming it's junk but praying that it is one of those anomalies that turns out to be a good deal!!!
