Would you rather be a martyr than trying to fight for your own good?

I grew up with a good moral lessons from my parents. I am good enough to care about my friends and do favors for them. But when it comes to being a martyr, I don't know if I'm capable of being that kind of person. I have seen many of my friends who suffered-trying to be a martyr rather than fighting for their rights. I can see they are badly hurt and I don't know if I can stand on being like them.

Martyrs end up six feet under ground. At least most of them. They don't die in natural causes, but rather in a violent one. Learn to fight for my rights and at the same time learn when to say I cant take it anymore and do what the Romans do. Simple lessons in life to stay on top of every situations. Know when to be a martyr or know when to fight is a lesson any person should learn.
