Taste Tests, Freebies, Product Promo and Falling in Line

yes it was really fun simply having our snacks inside the grocery store, we got full then. Imagine we have tuna and rice, salad and an icer cream dessert hehehehehe! Take twos will be embarrassing! Thanks moonchild for sharing!

thanks zed for this quick comment. it's really logical to taste it first before we will be encouraged to buy their product so there's really no reason for us to be ashamed and embarrass to fall in line and wait for our turn to have the taste of it... giving you a smile is a plus for having that taste tests LOL. good custome service i may say!

Anyway, I think that's a very good business strategy to get more customers actually. Very commendable..

the starbucks food server is quite oriented about good customer service but the lady who's in-charge with the selecta ice cream for our freebies was frowning... i don't know why but i just took it as--that lady must be very tired for the day's promo but then she should maintain positive interaction with the customer.

Feels like she's being forced to do that, huh..

really a good marketing strategy to attract more customers to patronize their products-- with your story, it was a double edge promotion. They're not only promoting their main product but with the freebies-- it's another product that you can consider having/buying. Great that you have that 7-year old peeler. Youo are lucky enough for having that one as a gift.

There will be lots of this for the christmas season. We just have to patient.

That's good. We are one in "trying first" the product before buying it. More of these coming up for the holiday season particularly on wine, cakes, salads and pasta!

There is a "free lunch" for taste tests" trust me... i experienced that--- a little of everything, from pasta, to salad, to sandwich, corned beef, to ice cream and drinks/wine. I was so lucky then for that day it was a a variety of taste tests. It made me full as if i had a full-lunch for FREE.

where ever there are two women you will be there for the third...and I can without doubt say you will always try to stay in between two ladies in that line and will go to the most crowded and the tight the better for you...spoiling the name of decent guys like us...man get corrected before it's too late...and it is because of you I am getting spoiled...here..you became my friend so early,I should have known..

At least in your area there's a schedule for taste tests... in our place it seldom happen but when it does it's a variety of food products. Funny tasting a little of everything but at least you'll the idea if you will be convinced to take their products.

They know how tickle their customers to purchase their products... but you know what i had several experiences where the taste of the product for the "taste test" is different from the one being sold. so as consumers we really have to be careful! thanks.

Are you saying that they give you one thing to taste but are really selling another thing? That is fraudulent! At least you know what the thing you tried is supposed to taste like. That way you can complain later. Don't they think people will notice the difference?

there was a case that customers did complain about it... and they were suspended. the product was pulled out from the market. so everytime i do the taste test i always ask the promoters if they are consistent with the taste and quality of their product? or else i will really make a formal complain...

It is good that you have standards. Some people would be too shy or ebarrassed to speak up about things like that.

not me... i am just one of those who complained about it but the rest of the customers were interviewed and were on tv then.

people are not so used to be on tv and being on because of a free taste and promos made it uncomfy for them... cliche but what is important the issue was brought to the attention of the authorities and was responded positively.

Well at least something good came of the experience.
