Increasing percentage of divorced couple, whats the reason behind it?

Hi Fulltank, thanks for coming with this unique idea. Yes, I do admit this problem. It increases by years. I'm in such worried of this trend. The most important is the home institution and the children. Based on my parent and some of my families who got divorced, I could conclude few reasons behind. But from those reasons, I am interested to this fact. one of the fact is they just accept the partner in order to get marry--rather than being alone. Thus, it will be easier for them to get bore because the person that they are getting married with is not the person that they love with all their heart. When this thing happen they tend to feel they could not get along to each other when something bad happened between them. Some of them also just found their true love after they marry. Moral of the story, choose carefully who ever our partner is. MARRIAGE IS NOT A JOKE!

because people now a days are more liberated and pretty much in control of their lives and they no longer care about what other people will say adding to the fact also that it's legal in some countries so it's pretty much accepted by others as well.

I think it is because people jump into a relationship too quickly. Some nowadays meet someone and move in with them within a month instead of taking the time to get to know a person first.
Mind you I am a good one to talk, I met my husband to be in the June, got engaged in the August and married in the March. Having said that though my defence is that we spent 9 months writing to each other before we met so we knew a lot about each other first! To anyone thinking a baby was on the way, no we were married a year before we started thinking about having children. The outcome? we have 3 children, 3 Grandchildren and have been married for 35 years!

Another reason for divorce is that people dont like saying the word "sorry". It is easier to walk away.

i think the main reason for the rise in divorces is because of lack of trust,understanding and problems for getting along with each other like egoes,or any other thing.coz these days people make faster decisions related to their lives.if a small tiff between a couple can led to a divorce coz lack of trust.gud day.

In the good old days there were clear cut responsibilities for both husband and wife. While the husband was the bread winner the wife managed the house and children. Today both can do both roles independent of each other. There are countless counters that supply food to the husband and care centres where children are looked after. That goes for the husband. The wife is today economically independent. Apart from these factors there is a temptation to have a roving eye as with the kind of exposure that both enjoy one can fall in and out of love at the drop of a hat. Last but not the least society no longer considers divorce as taboo.
