People say your belief in God is strongest when you are closest to nature.Because here you experience the kind of beauty that is inexplicable. Why does fear, more than any other emotion, drive us to believe in and chant the name of god with more fervour than any other time?Is it true that the more successful a person becomes, the more God fearing he seems to become?Temple visits, offering to God,crawling to a Temple or walking barefoot for miles to reach a place of worship, seem to be the preserve of the rich and successful.Their faith in God is their greatest antidote to that fear.
Why does a successful person becomes more God-fearing?

hi,
I agree with you that fear is the emotion that drive us to believe in god. But i think it is not true that successful person is more god-fearing as i have seen my uncle who is very successful and he never do any thing like temple visits, offering to god, crawling to a temple or walking barefoot for miles etc., He also suggests that all these things are not necessary to impress god as what ever we have to face we will face it and have to accept it. So i think he is oe example to prove that successful person do not fear god.

I agree to you my Friend, most of the peoples who becomes rich and in happy life they forget god but if they are in any danger and difficulty then they pray to the God..But instead of that they have to understand that it is the test of God by which he tests us wether we thank him or not.
So Everyone have to remember the God in every moment.

I agree that fear is one of the strongest emotions that leads to belief. But it is not a must for a successful person to become more God-fearing, although it is common. There might be several reasons for that person to act like that.
As stated above he/she might become more faithful for thanking God that rewards him/her with success. Or he/she might fear that he/she might loose his/her current life style and that fear leads him/her to faith.
Another possiblity is, he/she always have been faithful, but with success he/she had more time/options to pray.
Also it is possible that temple visits, offerings to God etc, are show off. People may cheat others for various reasons, and for some ocassion being known as 'faithful' might be an advantage for business.
Not all success are earned rightously, so it is also possible that the successful people asks for redemption and prays God.
In conclusion, everyone believes in something mostly for a reason. But everyone is not honest with their acts about their belief. In my opinion, as someone noted above, people should not publish their beliefs and should respect everyone else's beliefs as if they're their own.

Thats true!fearing GOD is the key for self control and confidence if you follow the guidence given by your creator and becomes righteous, honest and optimistic then definitely you will be able to do things more comfortably rather then getting confused between many options.but that doesn't means that you will get success every time you do the right thing but the key point is that you get respect and self esteem when you do things in positive manner!
Money,Popularity and power are not eternal but the past of your deed's always follows you and affects your identity...
