Would you expect to be invited to the Ribbon Cutting?  

If you were the president of local swim team who swims at the high school pool and will be moving to the new aquatic complex set to have a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Your team trains young swimmers who eventually will be on the High School Swim Team and or Water Polo Team. (Have already given all their top swimmers and polo players)
You own a business and donated equipment to the school.
You will be a starting judge for the swim program.

They have invited the obvious (city counselmen, mayor, big donors etc but would you expect to be invited?

or

Would you expect to be shunned and not even thought about?
I am very upset and so is my club.

Please give me you honest opinion.
