There is only 1 bad thing about Google AdSense. You need a proper website and you have to have a HUGE amount of traffic and that is a HUGGEEE amount of traffic on it to earn good amount of cash with Google Ads. I have 3 sites and i only have $4 in my Google AdSense account. I have a traffic of 4 people a day average on my 1. site, then the other two is worse than that. That is why I am planning to register a proper domain. So IT cannot be a scam, you can trust them. If you put the HTML advertisement code on your site and someone clix on an ad. google might pay you $0.01 to $$0.50 or maybe more .
It depends on how much the advertiser is paying google to display their ads.
It does worth to open an account with Google Ads. as you will earn money by literally doing nothing. But to make a decent amount of cash you need a huge traffic on your site! You need to improve on your SEO and it is essential you learn the HTML and then PHP coding. but that's all website making now!:D

Till date no one could beat adwords for connecting buyer n seller.
It is a search based opportunity where you can place your link at the top of search page.
Through out the world maximum people use google to search anything and adwords gives you the chance to reach to those people based on specific search keyword.
Besides google also posts your links to other sites of same type of content.
