When you make a purchase, at the bottom of the Home Depot receipt you are given a User ID and Password to go online at Home Depot's website and complete a brief survey, sharing your opinion about your store visit, and enter for a chance to win a $5,000 Home Depot give card. I always wonder what it takes to actually win? Receive such poor service, that you threaten to go to the news and other media about the service you received? Or what?
I enter these things all the time, but do I ever win? No. I would like to hear about other MyLotter's experience with this entry or maybe another one or so that you would like to share.
Does anyone think these companies are really giving away this much money just for sharing your opinion?

| |  I think the ones from the receipt are legitimate but that the odds are very poor. Most have like one winner a month or maybe even a week but think of how many stores there are in the country and how many customers they have. If even a small number enter, the odds are probably still millions to one or worse.
