Skin dermatitis help | | Hi to all, i have a small problem with stella and speedy they have skin dermatitis, took them to the vet and no apparent other sickness, the vet says maybe allergic to glutin but i dont know, they do have a healthy diet, but what i ask is they must have a bath now every 2 days with this special shampoo, does anyone know of some healthier and natural way to bath them as i am very skeptical about chemical products, thanks and greetings bignik

You can also try a natural baby shampoo too, such as Earth's Best by JASON 2 in 1 Shampoo & Body Wash. It's mild, hypoallergenic and it won't irritate skin problems such as eczema - www.jason-natural.com for links on where to buy.
My canines have skin problems also. I give them Brewer's Yeast tablets almost every day. I just hand them the tablets, they seem to love the flavor. And at least three times a week, I add Burdock to their food. I use capsules and just empty them into their bowls and mix well.
I also feed them homecooked meals, which isn't hard at all....and surprisingly, it's cheaper than commercial foods. Their food consists of either chicken or ground turkey, with fresh organic apples, or organic peas, carrots, spinach & brocolli. For filler, I use either oats, or organic brown rice. Just add all ingredients in a slow cooker, or roasting pan, and cook. [Be sure to add some water]When I do feed them [dry] commercial food, I make sure to get them foods that are made with rice and chicken or salmon; never beef, it seems to be an aggravator for skin problems.
For a topical treatment, I use Rose Hip Seed Oil and Primrose Oil. Not at the same time, I vary it during the week.
Hope this helps.
