Gifts to EVERYONE we know well or just immediate family members? |
|
I do not know what everybody thinks about this matter, but Christmas is approaching soon. Well, giving is a joy but also it empties the pocket especially now after many of us have gone through this eceonomic crisis. What shall I do? Not give presents to friends children and only to close relatives or will they make it the wrong way? Please help!!!

My cousin and I have agreed not to buy anything for each other's children as neither of us can afford to. My friends who have children don't expect me to buy anything and I know they won't buy for my kids. If anyone gets upset about it, you can just tell them that you didn't have enough money this year. Most people will understand.

Or you would simply take a nice bottle of wine or a pie? Would you ignore the kids that are expecting something from everyone during Christmas. I do not feel comfortable with not giving them anything. I just don't know..

Skyeblue25 (194) | 1 month ago | Maybe buy the kids something to share. Like a board game or something they will enjoy together. You would only be buying the one present instead of two or more. The kids will enjoy playing together.
I guess if you do it every year and you don't want no one to know your financial situation then you really are in a bit of a fix. maybe try buying gifts online this year as often they are cheaper than on the high street. Personally I love ebay. You can buy new and sealed gifts for half the price they are on the street.
I don't know what else to suggest. It is difficult when people expect things.
